Chapter 3.6

Massoud made his way through the market, eventually leaping to the rooftops and heading east for several hundred spans. He dropped between two rooftops seemingly on accident and doubled back through a narrow garden alley before entering a gate into a walled enclosure with a pond and weeping willow at its center. He entered the house from the back patio after crouching by the window until he was relatively sure no one was inside.

Most had no idea where he was staying and some few thought he was staying in one of the rooms over the Olieant Pub. A member of the Guild with their insight would have looked for him in one of the many safehouses in the city. However, none, or so Massoud was hoping, would think to look for him in a Bishamon spice merchant’s home.

From his other sources Massoud had expected them to leave sometime in the next two days, so his team was already in place only waiting on him and Roy to join them. Llyr’s timing did not matter that much as long as it occurred before the Beinn set their part in motion.

So many uncertainties in the whole plan, but then again what sense of satisfaction, of enjoyment, would I have if this were easy? Always a weakness of mine, the desire to gamble for bigger stakes than most. Ah but the payoff…

Now to pass word to Roy in person or via messenger?
